Our Story

Born From a Love of Real Food

It all started in 2012 when founder Marco Castellano left his corporate job to pursue a lifelong dream — bringing authentic, soul-warming food to the heart of West Hollywood. With nothing more than family recipes, borrowed kitchen equipment, and an unshakeable belief in honest ingredients, Pizzana opened its doors.

What began as a tiny 10-table spot quickly became the neighborhood's go-to destination for handcrafted dishes made with locally sourced produce, imported Italian staples, and a whole lot of heart. Word spread fast, and within two years we expanded to a full dining room — without ever compromising on the quality that started it all.

A Decade of Delicious History

From a single storefront to a West Hollywood institution — here are the milestones that shaped Pizzana.

2012

The Doors Open

Marco Castellano opens the original Pizzana at 460 N Robertson Blvd with 10 tables, three staff, and a menu of eight items. A small beginning for a big dream.

2014

First Expansion

After two years of packed dining rooms and a waitlist every weekend, we knocked down a wall and doubled the restaurant's capacity. The kitchen grew too — and so did the menu.

2016

Award Recognition

Pizzana was named "Best Italian Restaurant in West Hollywood" by LA Food Scene Magazine and received a glowing feature in the Los Angeles Times food section, bringing national attention.

2018

Delivery Launched

We launched our own delivery service, bringing Pizzana's handcrafted meals directly to homes across West Hollywood and beyond — extending our family table into the community.

2020

Community Resilience

During the pandemic, we pivoted swiftly to contactless delivery and meal kits. We partnered with local shelters to donate over 5,000 meals — proving that community matters most when times are tough.

2022

Full Rebrand & Refresh

A full redesign of our space, logo, and digital presence — while keeping the soul of Pizzana intact. A fresh look for a beloved brand, celebrating a decade of feeding the community.

2024

Franchise Program Launched

We officially opened the Pizzana franchise program, inviting passionate entrepreneurs to bring our recipes and culture to new neighborhoods. The Pizzana family is growing — and just getting started.
